On Tuesday, November 4, residents of West Baton Rouge will have the opportunity to make their voices known one more time, as the day marks the primary for several important elections, such as the races for state representatives, justices of the peace, Brusly’s chief of police and more.
Former Port Allen High football standouts Jestin Kelly and L. J. Parker helped Grambling defeat Jackson State 40-35 Saturday. Parker helped block a punt early in the game. Kelly scored the game-winning touchdown for his team’s first victory of the season.
Port Allen’s offensive stats almost matched those of neighboring rival Livonia, and neither team committed a turnover.
The Pelican offensive showing was relatively solid, but the difference came in the form of a star senior running back and an up-and-coming quarterback.
