Four rail cars derailed at the north end of the Union Pacific’s Addis rail yard at the intersection of Jaselyn Ann Lane and Peter Messina Road on Tuesday, May 19, during a routine car assembly.
Three of the rail cars were carrying hazardous materials, according to Union Pacific spokesperson Jeff DeGraff. The cause of the derailment is still under investigation, he said.
Karen Wooley decided after 18 years as Brusly High’s head volleyball coach that she needed to seek new pastures.
Wooley announced Monday 18 she will leave Brusly to oversee the Livonia High School volleyball program.
“This is a chance to seek knew avenues,” she said.
