Now-March 24 The WBR Museum will host an exhibit, “Color of Freedom: Journey along the Underground Railroad.”
The exhibit will feature 49 painting, etchings and drawings by Joseph Holston, and is organized by the Arts Program of the University of Maryland University College.
February 28 The West Baton Rouge Minister’s Conference will change their midday service from St. Paul Baptist Church to the New Sunrise Baptist Church on Maryland Ave. in Port Allen from noon-1 p.m.
March 2 The Regional competition for National History Day will be held at the West Baton Rouge Museum.
March 3 Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church will host their appreciation service at 1:30 p.m. for Assistant pastor, Rev. Michael P. Joseph.
March 9 Westside Family Center’s Royal Order of the Moose will host a motorcycle show to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

March 12 The WBR Museum will host an open hearth cooking program focusing on recipe books in the South during the Civil War.
The cooking demonstration and presentation will be done by Gayle Smith.
March 16 A Relay for Life survivor prayer breakfast will take place at 8:30 a.m. in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church activity center.
The event is sponsored by the SJB Church and the Knights of Columbus.
March 23 First Baptist Church of Port Allen, 4200 Rebelle Lane, will host their Spring Fest and Easter Egg Hunt from 4-6 p.m.

April 13 Rougon High School will hold a reunion for the now defunct school in Pointe Coupee Parish for former students.
The event will take place at Scott Civic Center in Pointe Coupee Parish.
Reservations are required to attend, as there is limited space.
$30 a person, and no children under 21.
