On Feb. 1, 2014 God saw Daniel A. Collins, Jr. growing weary and called him home to rest.
He departed his life at University hospital. He was born in Compton, CA on Feb. 24, 1967. He resided in Erwinville, La. In addition to his high school diploma, he attained specialized training in Theology and also earned his Paralegal degree. He leaves to cherish his loving and devoted mother, Sadie Collins and father, Daniel Collins; a devoted wife, Letrice Collins; two daughters, La'Terrica Antoine and Shemekia Westley; two sons, Daniel Westley, Sr. and Domonique Collins; five granddaughters and three grandsons. Also a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel Collins, Sr., his three brothers, Glenn Duehe, Mark Collins and Donald Collins and two grandchildren, Keishyra and Arnold Cummings. Viewing was at Hall's Celebration Center on Friday, Feb. 7 from 1-5 pm. Religious service at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lakeland, conducted by Rev. C. Todd Lloyd. Visitation from 9 am until 11 am. With recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 am and mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.
