Norma "Granny" Chustz LeDuff, a native of Lakeland and resident of Erwinville, passed away at 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at Baton Rouge Hospice Butterfly Unit at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
She was 82 and a homemaker. Visitingwas at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lakeland on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 9:30 am until service at noon, conducted by Father Todd Lloyd. Interment in Chenal Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Bridget Metoyer, Carmen LeDuff and husband Keith and Penny Collins and husband Conrad; son, Chief Jeff LeDuff (Retired) and wife Kasandra; sisters, Elizabeth Darensbourg, Saluta Trepagnier (Robert) and Harriet Chustz-Cryer; grandchildren, Danielle (Bernard) Smith, Chad (Angela) Roussel, Toye (Jeryl, Jr.) Williams, Daniel (Summer) Metoyer, Kelly (Shannon) LeDuff, Ryan (Nakisha) LeDuff, Alex (Kelli) and Brianne Collins; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton LeDuff; daughter Ramona Roussel; parents Norman and Raymonde Ricard Chustz; brothers Joseph D. and Jude Chustz; and sister Joycelyn Chustz. Pallbearers are grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Granddaughters, Great Grandchildren and John Trepagnier. Norma was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a warm and welcoming spirit that brought so many people into her life. Her greatest treasure was her family and the love she shared with them. She had a passion for cooking and this is how she showed her love for those she cared about. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
