Dwight Gerard Bordelon passed away Sunday March 9, 2014 at his home in Jarreau, La after a battle with cancer.

He was 58, a Sargent for 15 years with dedicated service to the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s office.

Visiting will be held at Nilands Funeral Home in New Roads, on Thursday March 13, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Following Memorial Service please join us for a celebration of life at 5015 Pecan Ln. Jarreau, La.

Dwight is survived by: his wife, Denise Davidson Bordelon; two daughters, Chantelle Larussa married to Ryan Larussa and Jolie Merrick married to Tyler Merrick; his son, Cody Bordelon married to Kati Jo Cashio Bordelon; a sister, Sandi Book; two stepchildren, Brian Davidson and Shan O’Connor married to Rod O’Connor; four grand-children; Braydon Larussa, Madison Larussa, Ryland Merrick and Baylor Merrick; and one step grandson, Christian Wilkinson.

Preceded in death by: parents, Wallace and Erline; granddaughter Tylar Grace Merrick

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dwight Bordelon Benefit Fund at Peoples Bank in New Roads, La.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the great care and support provided by Pointe Coupee Hospice.
