A wonderful and loving son, brother and uncle passed away at his home Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the age of 51.

A residence and native of Port Allen, owner of Sunshine's Lawn Services. He was a graduate of Port Allen High, Class of 1980. Dean never met a stranger, always ready to offer a hand when needed. He loved GOD above all and was always ready to share the Bible and his faith with anyone who wanted to talk with him. He was a member of Bethany World Prayer Center in Baker. He loved to fish and hunt with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Genevieve Levert Gauthé; sister, Debra and husband Ron Garlington; brothers, Curt Gauthé and fiancée Robin Post and Tod Gauthé and wife Terri; sister-in-law, Rhonda Charlet Gauthé; nephews, Blake Garlington, Chace Garlington and wife Rachel, Adam Garlington and wife Amabelle, and Tod Gauthé, II; nieces, Jena Rodriguez and husband Trent, Meagan Simoneaux and husband Jim, Haylie, Kelsey, Cameryn and Karlie Gauthé; great nephews, Luke and John Garlington and Bradley Rodriguez; and great nieces Angela Garlington and Avery Simoneaux. Preceded in death by his grandparents, A. Gassie and Edna Joffrion Levert, Claude and Dot Gauthé, Louise and Laurie Gaudet, uncles, A. Gassie, Jr., Noel Levert and Alan Gauthé. Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 9:30am until religious services at 11:30am, conducted by Rev. Paul Brill. Interment was at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Brusly.
