A resident of Grace Health and Rehab, he died March 30, 2014 at the age of 84.
He was United State Veteran with the 82nd Airborne and had 30 years service with the Baton Rouge Fire Department. Visiting was at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Clinton on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Clinton from 12:30pm until Mass at 1:30pm conducted by Father Jeff Bayhi. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores Barbay Fourrier, 1 daughter, Irene Fourrier Lanier and husband, Robert, of Clinton, 2 sons, Paul B. Fourrier, Jr. and wife Debbie of Austin, TX, Darrell W. Fourrier and wife Patricia of Clinton, LA. 2 sisters, Rita F. Blouin of Baton Rouge, LA and Mary F. Gascon and husband Donald of Port Allen, LA. 6 grandchildren: Ken Braud, Jamie Braud, Hollie Quebedeaux, Adam Fourrier, Justin Fourrier and B.J. Lanier. He is preceded in death by parents Elphaege J. Fourrier and Irene Champagne Fourrier. Sisters Lucille Fourrier and Estelle Wax and brother Elwood J. Fourrier. Pallbearers will be B.J. Lanier, Tony Quebedeaux, Steve Cambre, Adam Fourrier, Robert Lanier and Calvin Gascon. He was a graduate of Catholic High in 1947, a member Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, American Legion and the Lions Club.
