A resident of Brusly, she died Friday, April 18, 2014, at age 85.
Rebecca was a wonderful Grandmother. She loved her grandchildren as if they were her own children. She loved arranging flowers; her flowers were as beautiful as the smile she wore every day. If you ever went to visit her at home, when you opened the door, the aroma of delicious southern cooking invited you in and you begged for the offer to stay and dine with the family. She also loved sewing. Visitation was held at Grant's Westside Funeral Services on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from noon to 6pm and again on Friday, from 9 am until service at 11 am at Union B.C., in Brusly conducted by Rev. Johnny Johnson, Jr. Burial was in Church Cemetery. She is survived by two grandsons, Stanford Bynum (Rosetta) of Baton Rouge and Terrance Bynum (Carmelia) of Brusly; three great grandchildren, Stanford Jr., Kristina and Spencer Bynum; three sisters-in-law, Eloise Brown, Croscina Crockett and Doretha Crockett and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton W. Crockett; parents, Mary and Charles Bynum; daughter, Barbara A. Bynum and eight siblings.
