A native of Jarreau, LA and resident of Rougon, LA, Girlie Mae Fabre Samuel, passed away on Thursday, May 1st, 2014 at the Nottingham Rehabilitation Center at the age of 73.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 53 years, Moses Samuel Jr., Rougon, LA; three children: daughter Drusilla Samuel Parker, Bueche, LA, sons Reginald Samuel (Jimmia), Woodbridge, VA, and Trevas Samuel (Gwendolyn), Baker, LA; seven grandchildren Russell Parker Jr., Bueche, Brittany Parker, Baton Rouge, Tranesia Joseph, Lakeland, Amber, Kayla, Trevas Jr., and Christian Samuel all of Baker, LA and one great-grandson Nile Memmezzwattay of Baton Rouge, LA; two brothers: Clarence Fabre (Viola) Baton Rouge, and Justin Fabre (Port Allen); three sisters: Esther Fabre, Velma Rosaya, Lakeland, LA, and Mary Diane Louis (Ronald) Baton Rouge, LA, two sisters-in-law Carrie Dunbar, San Diego, CA, Gertrude Fabre, New Roads, LA, and two God children Melissa Fabre, Lakeland, LA and Antoinette Washington, Charlotte, North Carolina and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Sr. and Gladys Fabre, son Carlton Samuel, sisters Mary Rita and Patty Fabre, brothers Charlie Jr., Clinton, Hilton, and John Larry Fabre. Visiting was on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Lakeland, LA from 8:00 am - 11:00 am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to A.
