Julien Martin LeBlanc, age 92 and a resident of Gonzales, LA., passed away on Monday June 2, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, LA.

A native of Duplessis , LA., and the retired owner of Julien LeBlanc State Farm Agency in Gonzales for 23 years. Mr. Julien is also a retired Lt. Colonel in the U. S. Air Force serving in the European Theater with 22 years of service to our country. Visitation began on Thursday June 5, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA. from 5 PM until 9 PM. Visitation resumed on Friday June 6, 2014 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA. at 9 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM celebrated by Rev. Joel LeBauve and concelebrated by Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Burial followed at the Hope Haven Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gonzales, LA. . Mr. Julien is survived by 7 daughters and their spouses- Paulette and Billy Hood of Denham Springs, LA. , Lois and Andy LeBlanc of Port Allen, LA. , Julie Tatman of Duplessis, LA. , Sandra and Ralph Piper, Jr. of Gonzales, LA., Donna and Robert Barnett of Gonzales, LA. , Laurie and Jorda Young, Jr. of Gonzales, LA. , and Amy and Jamie Vicknair of Prairieville, LA. . 2 sons and their spouses- David and Mandy LeBlanc of St. Amant, LA. , and Larry and Lesley LeBlanc of Gonzales, LA. . Special friend and companion Ms. Josie Manzella of Gonzales, LA. , 1 Sister- Myra Melanson of Duplessis, LA. , 2 Brothers- Hewitt LeBlanc of Shreveport, LA. and Herman LeBlanc of St. Amant, LA. . Mr. Julien is also survived by 27 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Catherine DeFatta LeBlanc, Parents- Hendrick J. and Irene Babin LeBlanc, 4 Sisters- Sadie Longa, Viola Braud, Delcie Braud and Lela Langlois, 1 Brother- Bernard LeBlanc and 2 Grandchildren. Mr. Julien was a 3rd Degree member of the St. Mark Council # 8147 Knights of Colunbus and Msgr. Lieux 4th Degree Council of Gonzales, LA. , Member of St. Mark Usher Society for over 35 years, St. Mark Parish Council and Finance Chairman for over 30 years. The family would like to especially thank St. Elizabeth Hospital and Staff, LCA group , Acadian Ambulance and Mr. Julien's church parish of St. Mark.
