James D. "Stoney" Gipson III

Stoney passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 as a result of a motorcycle accident at the age of 23.

He was a welder for Cajun Constructors/Pipe Fabrication Shop, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Port Allen, La. Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 5 to 9pm and resumed on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 for 9am until religious services at 10am, conducted by Rev. Tom Shepard. Interment was at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. He survived by parents, James D. "Hoot" Gipson, Jr. and Jo Ann "TD" Martin Gipson; son, Jaxden D. Gipson and mother, Kayla R. Adams; sister, Coby Joffrion and husband AJ Joffrion, III; nieces and nephews, Victoria "Tori", Joey, Kaylee-Jo and Aidan Joffrion; girlfriend, Hayley Fontenette; grandmother, Shirley B. Darby; grandfather, Troy P. Martin and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his uncles, Big Mike Martin and George Barbier.
