A wonderful, loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved her family dearly, she passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 8:04 p.m. at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was 90 years old, a resident of Port Allen and native of Chamberlain. Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church from 9 until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by Mons. Robert Berggreen. Entombment at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Mausoleum in Brusly. She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Harold Colvard, Houston, TX, Joan and Ronnie Simpson, Port Allen; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Harrell "Brother" and Lorraine F. Loup, Baton Rouge, and Darrell and Beth W. Loup, Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren, Tara C. Parker, Stephanie C. Walden, Allison Colvard, Jennifer C. Sedlachek , Darrin Simpson, Dean Simpson, Derrick Simpson, Chad Loup, Ashley L. Godfrey, Courtney L. Edwards, Kristin L. Green, and Cody Loup; 21 great grandchildren, Travis Parker, Conner Parker, Olivia Walden, Andrew Walden, Quinn Sedlachek, Tycho Sedlachek, Tate Sedlachek, Reagen Simpson, Katilyn Simpson, Savannah Simpson, Landon Simpson, Elliot Simpson, Carley Loup, Chloe Loup, Ellie Loup, Zachary Roussell, Evan Fiore, Quinn Fiore, Chandler Godfrey, Hunter Godfrey, Anna Grant Godfrey, Emma Godfrey, Emerson Edwards and Easton Edwards and sister-in-law, Adele Lowe. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Harrell Louis Loup; her parents, Thomas L. Lowe and Mary Petit Lowe; 4 brothers, Wilton Lowe Sr., Boyd Lowe Sr., T.L. Lowe Jr. and Leroy Lowe; 1 sister, Hazel Lowe Daigle. Her grandsons will serve as her pallbearers. Many thanks to her numerous, loving caregivers and Hospice of Baton Rouge.
