A homemaker and resident of Port Allen, she died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012. She was 86 and a native of Erwinville. Visiting was at Hall's Mortuary, Port Allen on Friday, Jan. 4, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Visiting continued at Second Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 5, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dr. Isadore Johnson. Graveside service at Port Hudson National Cemetery on Monday, Jan. 7, at 10:30 a.m. Survived by her daughters, Oralee Walker, Jennie Johnson, Thelma Ransom, Brenda Jackson, Maxcine Jackson and Jeanette Henry; sons, Phil Johnson Jr. and Gerald Johnson; sister-in-law, Patsy Blunt; 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Phil Johnson; daughter, Theresa Johnson; grandson, two brothers, two sisters, and parents, Bertha Banger and William Spooner. Sign guest book at
