A native of Port Allen and resident of Jacksonville, Fla., he died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at 1:41 p.m. He was 48 and worked as a Butcher.
Visiting was at Hall's of Port Allen on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., family hour 4-6. Visiting continued at Second Baptist Church on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Larry James. Interment in Second B.C. Cemetery, Port Allen. Survivors include his wife, Zerelda Eady-James; mother, Ceola J. Antoine and step-father, Freddie Antoine; daughters, Kendall and Kelsey James; 2 step-daughters, Kiara Evins and Karmettya Forte; sons, Willie James Murphy and Jerrick James and Quantavis James; step-son, Kevin Forte; sisters, Sharon J. Green, Gwendolyn J. Byrd and Stephanie J. Gilmore; and 8 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Willie James, Sr., paternal grandparents, 3 uncles and 1 aunt.
