John D. "Sam" Doucet

A resident of Port Allen and native of Port Barre, he passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the early morning at his home.

He was 67 years old a retired body mechanic. Visiting was at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 22, 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Anthony Russo. Entombment followed at Roselawn Memorial Park in Baton Rouge. ""Sam"" is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce Granger Doucet of Port Allen; her daughter, Sheree' Walley and husband Bryant of Pass Christian, MS; son-in-law, Kenneth Fourroux, Sr. of Central; 3 grandsons, Kenny Fourroux, Jr., Alex Fourroux and Brandon Fourroux; one brother, Jimmy Doucet and wife Charlotte of Port Allen; 2 sisters-in-law, Paula Doucet of Port Allen and Ann Doucet of Deer Park, TX. ""Sam"" is preceded in death by his parents, Leonce and Ada O'Pry Doucet, a daughter, Rhonda D. Fourroux, 2 brothers, Austin and Floyd Doucet.
