A laborer and leather craftsman and resident of Baton Rouge, he died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in Port Allen.

He was 50, born April 12, 1962. Visiting was at Hall's Celebration Center on Friday, Feb. 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Garrett Brown. Interment in Southern Memorial Cemetery. Survived by his loving companion, Jacqueline Hayes Young; mother, Mrs. Pleasant Donahue Bell; son, Joshua Hayes; sister, Barbara Hayes; brothers, Ivory Hayes Jr., Terry Kent Hayes, Alvin Hayes and Marvin Hayes; nieces and nephews, including David Hayes, a very special and loving nephew. Preceded in death by his father, Ivory Hayes Sr.; maternal and paternal grandparents, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed family, friends and listening to music. Sign guest book
