A native of Lakeland and resident of Erwinville, she died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, at age 92.
She was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband Pete, on their farm. She was a second mother to her nieces and nephews and generously gave of her time and love to others in need. Visiting was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial in the church at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Greg Daigle. Entombment in Chenal Mausoleum. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Albert Labatut Jr. and wife Betty, Ronnie Labatut, Bobbie Labatut Hall and husband Gaylen, Phyllis Labatut, Glen Labatut, Keith Palermo and wife Dianne; great nieces and nephews, Todd Labatut, Heath Labatut, Brandon Labatut, Chandelle Rougeou, Taylor Hall, Angele Gisclair, Gabrielle Blanchard, Joseph Glen Labatut II, Luke Samuel Labatut, Benjamin Michael Labatut, Andrew Michael Labatut and James Labatut; and numerous great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Ulysse "Pete" Landry; parents, Aristide and Agatha Roubique Jarreau; brother, Wilmer Jarreau; sisters, Lena Jarreau, Nellie Jarreau Labatut, Ida Jarreau Palermo.
