II Timothy 4:7-8. Raymond Joseph Lamotte was born November 3, 1940 in Lobdell, La to the late Roosevelt Lamotte, Sr. and Mable Graves Lamotte. He departed this life on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Raymond was baptized at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Allen, La. He served in the Air Force and was honorably discharged after 6 years of service. He then began his career with Teamsters as a truck driver for Roadway and retired after 33 years. He was the owner of Industrial Salvage, which spawned from his hobby of reclaiming and recycling industrial goods. He also volunteered for several community organizations. Raymond was a loving and devoted family man. He was a proud father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Suzanne Marie Rose Lamotte; his son Nicholas Lamotte and daughters Mia Lamotte, Maureen Lamotte and Jackie Goller; his grandchildren Nicholas Lamotte II, Courtney Lamotte and Aaron Lamotte; his siblings Roosevelt (Patricia) Lamotte, Yvonne (Alvin) Guerin and Barbara (Larry) Franklin; his godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Roosevelt Lamotte, Sr and Mable Graves Lamotte, sister Loise Posey, and brother Melvin Lamotte, Sr. Visitation was at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 402 South Kirkland Drive in Brusly, La from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment followes at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery.
