A native of Plaquemine and resident of Brusly, he passed away at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at his home.

He was a retired Local 53 Insulator and U.S. Army veteran 66-67. Wake was at Wilbert Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Graveside service at St. Philomena Church Cemetery, Labadieville, on Thursday, March 14 at 1 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Talbot Hidalgo, Brusly; sons & spouses Henry & Gina Palermo Hidalgo Jr., Addis, Johnnie & Chance Rivera Hidalgo, Gonzales; Granddaughters, Margaret Ann & Alyssa Marie, Addis; In-laws Phyllis Talbot, Brusly, Ret. Chief Warrent Officer 3 Louis Talbot & fin. Clararita Castro, Kingstowne VA., Carolyn Talbot Benoit & Randy Thibodaux, Nephew Jessie Benoit, Lafayette; Siblings & spouse Evelyn Palazzo, Walker, Bernadette Millien, Donaldsonville, Theresa Lopez, Addis, Floyd Hidalgo Sr., Livonia, Irene & Wesley Johnson, Plaquemine; special aunt Mary Landry, Baton Rouge; Numerous nephews & nieces; Preceded in death by his parents Anthony & Irene Landry Hidalgo; Son Anthony Hidalgo; step grandson Trent Austin Morgan; grandparents Antoine & Bernadette Acosta Hidalgo, Alex & Eveline Callegan Landry; Siblings & spouse Rita & E.
