Born in Grand Bayou, La. and a lifelong resident of Winterville, he died at his residence Saturday, April 6, 2013.
He was 84, a retired truck driver with R.J. Gallagher. Visiting was at Hall's Celebration Center, 9348 Scenic Hwy., on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. conducted by Rev. Lenny Young. Interment in Ashland Cemetery, Chamberlain, La. Survived by three daughters, Connie and husband Henry Ayo, Gaynell Wilkins, both of Baton Rouge, Beverly Collins, Baker, three sons, Kalvin and wife Iotomeos Gray, Terry Gray, Port Allen, Norris "Chuck" Simon, Baton Rouge, and Josh Jackson, Texas; and brother, Ranzell Gray. Preceded in death by his parents, Ida Dean and Albert Gray, Sr.; three brothers, Lucius, Albert Gray, Jr. and Allen Dixon; three sons, Larry, Sherman, and Jerry Gray, and one grandson, Brandon Gray.
