James Everett Croswell passed away on April 14, 2013 at 4:50 am at the Nottingham Regional Rehab Center in Baton Rouge, La.
James "Joe" was born December 2, 1929 to Helen Marie "Thornton" Croswell and Walter Newton Croswell in Philadelphia, Mississippi. He formerly resided in Jackson, Louisiana and was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson. He is survived by brothers, Ted Brice Croswell, Sr., Tim Croswell and Tom Croswell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Walter, Patrick Croswell. He is also survived by four daughters, Christina Croswell - Talley, of Watson, Melissa Perry, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Patricia Watson of Watson, Louisiana and Tonia Croswell of Brusly, Louisiana. Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday, April 17, from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m., presided by Rev. Herb Cowan, Chaplain of Cardinal Hospice. Graveside service followed at Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, at 2:30 p.m., conducted Dr. Joe B. Nesom, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Jackson. The family wishes to thank the staff at Nottingham Regional Rehabilitation Center and Cardinal Hospice, both of Baton Rouge, Louisiana for their kind care and services.
