A resident of Port Allen, she died at 3 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2013 surrounded by family.
She was 88, a retired Homemaker. Viewing was at Hall's Celebration Center on Friday, May 31, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with Family Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Service was at Hall's Celebration Center on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. Johnny Johnson, Jr. Interment in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Brusly. Survivors include three devoted daughters, Virginia Georgetown (Kent), Linda Quincy (Joseph) and Inez Paul (Arthur); sons, Clarence (Darlene) Taylor, Earl (Jacqueline) Taylor, Robert (Michelle) Taylor, Frank (Kimberly) Taylor and Jimmy Taylor; a loving sister, Lorraine Leblanc, of New Orleans; 27 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Williams; father, John Williams; sister, Amanda Williams; brothers, Edward Williams and Iris Boden; son, Michael Taylor; and daughters, Betty Ann Taylor and Mary Louise Taylor.
