Jerry Silvio, 62, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Monday, June 3, 2013.
He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA and the owner of Port Allen Motor Company since 1973. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Thomasson Silvio; mother, Betty Palmer of Springfield, LA; three sisters, Sharon Starner, Stacy Thibodeaux and husband Shannon of Baton Rouge, LA; Bobby Claire Grayson; and brother, David Silvio of Springfield, LA. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Ruby Hanka and husband Bill of Humble, Texas; Jolie Joffrion and husband Eddie, and Emily Leon and husband Charles; brother-in-law, Herbert Thomasson and wife Judith of Melville, LA. Jerry was loved dearly by his numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Jerome Joseph Silvio, Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation was held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Wednesday, June 5, from 9 am until service at 12 pm conducted by Reverend Ray Johnson and Reverend Jerry Phelps.
