A retired school bus driver with West Baton Rouge Parish, she passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at Lakeview Manor in New Raods at the age of 79.
She was a native of Lakeland, LA and former longtime resident of Port Allen. Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen on Friday from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. Mass of Chrisitan Burial was at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly at 11:30, celebrated by Rev. Matt Lorrain. Entombment followed in the church mausoleum. Sadie is survived by her two sons and three daughters-in-law, Andrew J. "Drew" and Iris Sherman Bonanno of Brusly, and Keith and Beth Charleville Bonanno of Port Allen, Lisa Nicosia Bonanno of Robert; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Sanford Junot of Port Allen, Arlette and Jimmy Robert of Port Allen and Shannon and Steve Carter of Denham Springs; 15 grandchildren, Amy Schexnayder of Springfield, Ashley Reeves of Sorrento, Monica Bonanno of Robert, Brittany and husband Ben Theriot of Addis, Brooke and husband Shaun Morvant of Addis, Nichole Junot and Sean Johnson of Addis, Melissa and Luke Juneau of Central, Dustin Bonanno of Addis, Hollie and Husband Brent Williams of Brusly, Rachael and husband Robbie Hoolahan of Addis, Alexandra and Alyson Larson of Port Allen, Christopher, Devin and Andrew "Andy" Conerly of Denham Springs; fifteen great grandchildren, Paige Michel, Victoria and Ethan Schexnayder, Mia and Wyatt Reeves, Allie and Kate Theriot, Isabelle and Landon Morvant, Riley and Kameron Johnson, Molly Juneau, Jaina Bonanno, Maci Williams and Reid Hoolahan; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Valerie Bergeron; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sadie was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Andrew Bonanno Sr., her son, Samuel Bonanno; great grandchild, Olivia Reeves; parents, Gladys Isaac Crochet and Joseph Charles Bergeron Jr.; sister, Charlene Bergeron Richard. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Christopher, Devin and Andrew "Andy" Conerly, Dustin Bonanno, grandsons-in-law Ben Theriot and Robbie Hoolahan.
