A native of Abroth, La. and resident of Port Allen, he passed away at 2:30 a.m. June 18, 2013, at Promise Rehabilitation Center.

He was 74 and worked as a laborer. Visiting was at Hall's Celebration Center, 9348 Scenic Hwy., on Friday, June 28, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Visiting again at Second Baptist Church on Saturday, June 29, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Larry James. Interment in Second B.C. Cemetery, Port Allen. Survivors include his wife, Ora Lee Walker; daughter, Pamela Gordon (Wayne), of Port Allen; son, Michael Walker (Janice), of Plaquemine; brother, Alfred Vance, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Megan Walker, and Monica and Morgan Gordon, all of Port Allen.
