2 Timothy 4:6-8. Reverend Harry (H.D.) Wright Sr. departed this life on Friday, July 5, 2013 at approximately 12:15 P. M. at his place of Business known as H.D. Upholstery. There was not a task that he would not encounter and succeed. He was born on September 23, 1940 to the union of the late Reverend and Mrs. Dave Wright, Sr. Reverend Wright was called and baptized at an early age by the late Reverend Dave Wright at the Little Zion Baptist Church, Innis, La. He was ordained by the Pointe Coupee Ministers Conference in 1985. He was a dedicated and faithful pastor of the Little Zion Baptist Church, Innis, Louisiana and a faithful member of the Zion Travelers Baptist Church, New Roads, La. Reverend Wright leave to cherish his memory his caring and devoted wife Dolly Nelson Wright, three daughters, Deborah Lynn (Elijah) Williams, Port Allen, La.; Andrea (Steven) Simmons Baton Rouge, La.; Belinda (Jerome) Troullier Slidell, La.; four sons, Harry D. (Jeannie) Wright Baton Rouge, La.; Mark Twain (Takschkia) Wright, Baton Rouge, La.; Stephen Brent Wright, Houston, Texas; Sheldon (Julia) Martin, Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters, Doretha Lee, Martha (Raymond) Hamilton, Houston, Texas, and Relia Dukes, New Roads, La.; three brothers, Reverend Jimmie (Viola) Wright, Dave (Gwen) Wright, and Freddie (Anita) Wright, Houston, Texas Fifteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren; six brothers-in-law, Thomas A. (Kendra) Nelson; Earl Nelson, Arthur Hutchison, of New Roads, La.; Reverend Isiah (Annette) Nelson, Baton Rouge, La.; Albert (Mattie) Nelson, Sterling (Velma) Nelson Of Houston, Texas, a host of nieces nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend and Mrs. Relia Wright; four sisters, Albertha Smith, Rosetta Coleman, Mary Hines and Dorothy Hall, one brother Dave Wright II. Funeral Services were held at Zion Travelers Baptist Church on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. The viewing began at 8 a.m. Interment in Zion Travelers Baptist Church Cemetery.
