On July 10, 2013, at 4:15 p.m., Ronald "Craig" Giroir, Sr. departed this life at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, La.
A cherished son, father and dedicated truck driver with Groendyke Transport. He was born to the late Percy Giroir, Jr. and Barbara Ann Giroir of White Castle, La. Visitation was at Asberry Methodist Church, White Castle at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 until religious services at 10 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Andrew Richardson, pastor. Interment in the church cemetery. Craig leaves to cherish his memory two children, Jacqueline Denise Giroir and Ronald Craig Giroir, Jr., both of Baton Rouge, La.; one god-daughter, Stacey (Lawrence) Hillard of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Darlene Giroir and Consuella (Bernell) Cook of Baton Rouge, La.; one step-sister, Terri Lynn Washington Olivier of Donaldsonville, La.; two brothers, Percy (Etta) Giroir III of Plaquemine, La. and Kevin Abdul (Kimberly) Giroir, Sr. of White Castle, La.; a praying and loving grandmother, Ida Mae Green of Dorseyville, La.; two aunts, Stacey (Kevin) Haggins of Plaquemine, La. and Faye (Bernell) Williams of St. Gabriel, La.; one god-mother, Brenda Nelson of Dorseyville, La.; six uncles, Arthur (Easter) Green, Leroy (Albertha) Green, Ray "Tip" Green, Farrell (Deedy) Green all of Dorseyville, La., Darrell (Brenda) Green of Addis, La., Terry (the late Deloris) Giroir of Kansas City, Ronald L. (Jocelyn) Giroir of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Javonta' McGinnis and Jarmon McGinnis, both of Baton Rouge, La.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Percy Giroir, Jr., sister, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
