A native and resident of Glynn, La., she passed away at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 at The Carpenter House /St. Joseph Hospice.
She was 93 and a homemaker. Visiting was at Second Baptist Church, Port Allen, on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. conducted by Pastor Larry James. Interment in Keslon Cemetery. Survivors include her daughters, Jacqueline Bracken of Glynn, La., Brenda Wagner (Rick) of Bothell, Wa., Rosa Hawkins of Baton Rouge; sons, Archie Russell Bracken of Glynn, La. and Michael Bracken of New Roads, La.; sister, Joyce Jackson of Baton Rouge; brother, Charles Manchester (Mary) of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bracken; children, Willie Dee Henry, Mary Holmes, Ida Bell Bracken, Aaron and Ronald and Freddie Bracken; and parents, Ida and John Manchester of Glynn, La.
