Surrounded by his loving family, Donald Joseph Boudreaux, 80, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 9:25 P.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center on Essen Lane in Baton Rouge, Louisiana following a very long battle with heart disease.
Donald was the second of seven sons, born November 30, 1932 to the late Edmay Roy Boudreaux and Evelyn Bueche Boudreaux. He was a native of Erwinville, Louisiana and a resident of Livonia, Louisiana. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed his life and loved people. He was a devoted fan of festivals and fairs throughout Louisiana and loved listening to Cajun and Zydeco music. He worked as a welder for Delta Southern Corporation in Baton Rouge, and in his later life as a courier for the Bank of New Roads. He also served his country as a veteran in the Korean War. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Levone Aguillard Boudreaux, one daughter and son-in-law, Donna Marie Boudreaux Langlois and Conrad Joseph Langlois, Jr. (C.J.) of New Roads, Louisiana, one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Dwayne Boudreaux and Brandy Henry Boudreaux of Livonia, He was also the proud grandfather of four loving grandchildren, Ashleigh Marie Langlois and fiancé Jordan Michael Clements (Clem) of Baton Rouge, Andrew Thomas Boudreaux and companion Daphene Roppolo Collins, Heather Elaine Boudreaux, and Abby Lynn Boudreaux all of Livonia. Five brothers, Alvin Roy Boudreaux, Oscar, Clougest J. Boudreaux, Abbeville, Kenneth James Boudreaux, Edmay Roy Boudreaux and Bobby Joseph Boudreaux, all of Erwinville, Louisiana. One uncle, Joseph Roy Boudreaux of Ventress, Louisiana and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of many loyal and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Edmay Roy Boudreaux and Evelyn Bueche Boudreaux, father and mother-in-law, Wilfred Joseph Aguillard and Evelyn Jarreau Aguillard, brother Lester Roy Boudreaux, and infant grandson, Tommy Dwayne Boudreaux, Jr. (T.J.). Pallbearers will be: Bobby Joseph Boudreaux, Kenneth James Boudreaux, Steve Michael Boudreaux, John E. Fisher II, Jordan Michael Clements and Clougest J. Boudreaux, Jr. Visitation was held at Niland's Funeral Home, 3508 La.Hwy 78, Livonia, LA, Wednesday September 18, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with visitation resumed from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church with entombment following in St. Frances Cabrini Mausoleum. Donald was loved deeply by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
