", No more days of suffering, no more days of pain; His weary worn out frame has found sweet rest again. Born February 28, 1928 he passed away September 10, 2013 at the home of his daughter. Louis was 85 years old. A native of White Castle, Louisiana and a resident of Plaquemine, Louisiana. He retired from Dow Chemical USA where he was a laborer. He then filled his time as a mechanic. He was an active member and deacon at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Plaquemine, Louisiana. Pastor Clyde McNell. Visiting was Sunday Sept 15, 2013 at Roscoe Mortuary 58635 Meriam St. Plaq., La. From 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral Service Monday Sept 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest B.C. 58130 Bayou Jacob Rd. Plaq, La. Interment Grace Memorial Park Plaq., La. Bro. Nicholas leaves to cherish his memories, eight daughters: Dorothy (Floyd) Allen of Port Allen, La, Joyce (Jimmie) Caldwell of Baton Rouge, La, Lucy ( Gregory) Moses, White Castle, La., Linda (Jerry) Gunter, Baton Rouge,La, Linda Faye (Jerome) Royal, Plaq., La., Malet Nicholas, Baton Rouge, La., Tiffany and Brandy Sims of Plaq.,La. Five sons: Vernon (Alfreda) Nicholas, Sr. Michael Nicholas, White Castle, La., Henry Nicholas Plaq., Robert Nicholas, Seattle, WA., Louis Nicholas III, Baton Rouge, LA. Numerous grandchildren, great, great-great; two close friends Elnora Dotey, Ponchatoula, La., and Tommy Pugh of Plaq., La and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby C. Nicholas, son Willie James Nicholas, daughters Brenda Plant and RaShonda Nicholas; grandchild, Daphne Allen: parents, Clara and Rev. Louis Nicholas, Sr.: three sisters, Victoria Johnson, Pearl Mae Parker and Ida Colbert: five brothers: Ernest Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Allen Richardson, Sr. Morris Anderson, Sr. and James Nicholas.
