Geneva Settoon "Papoose" Soulier

Geneva was a resident of Brusly and a native of Sherburne, La; she passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet at the age of 70.

Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 5 to 9pm and at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, celebrated by Father Matt Lorrain. Entombment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Al Soulier; mother, Alverida Gros of Belle River; son, Paul Soulier and wife Laura of Mobile, Al; daughters, Michelle "Missy" Callihan and husband Greg of Central and Janie Soulier of Brusly; sister, Jane Savoy of Opelousas; grandchildren, Christine Soulier, Hunter, Cameron, and Connor Callihan; niece, Stacey Messner; great nephews, Lane and Tyler Messner; Kara, Kalin and Katie Callihan, who she thought of as grandchildren. Preceded in death by father, Henry Settoon. Pallbearers will be Hunter, Cameron, Connor, Greg and Scott Callihan and Lane Messner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Messner and Christine Soulier. She loved her grandchildren, roses and LSU baseball.
