Richard Samuel Fluker died peacefully on October 25, 2013 in New Roads, Louisiana surrounded by family.

He was 85 years old, a graduate of McKowen High School, Jackson, and Louisiana College, Pineville, former employee of Ethyl Corporation and founder of Fluker's Cricket Farm, Port Allen, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife, Alma Wallace Fluker, Jarreau, a daughter, Diane Fluker Noland and husband Jimmy, Central, sons David Fluker, Port Allen, and Howard Fluker, Peru, a step-son, Rev. Eugene Morris and wife Debi, St. Francisville, step-daughters, Ginger Andrew and husband Joe, Montgomery, AL, Jennifer Phillips and husband, Terry, Springdale, AR and step-daughter-in-law, Lynne Morris, Zachary, grandsons Vance Noland, Alex and Christian Fluker, granddaughters Karlie Noland and Katherine Fluker, 9 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren, a sister, Lucille (Lucy) McQueen Priddy, sister-in-law, Jo Howard, brother-in-law Albert Howard and wife, Connie, nephews Rusty McQueen, Jeffrey Howard, Chad Howard, nieces, Kathy McQueen, Dawn Giroir, Deidre Howard, Donna Kennon, Jill Allor and Leah Howard. Preceded in death by his first wife, Voncile Howard Fluker, parents Myrtis Pierce Fluker and Henry S. Fluker, mother-in-law and father-in-law Cecil and Jewel Howard, brother-in-law Donald Howard, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Della and Raymond Wallace, daughter-in-law, Angela Fluker and step-son, Dean Morris. At his request, his body was donated to LSU for research and medical education. He was a very generous man who helped many, many young people to get an education, to start a business or get a job. He devoted much time and money to improving Judson Baptist Retreat Center. Visitation was held Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm, First Baptist Church New Roads Family Life Center, 324 West Main Street, New Roads, Louisiana conducted by Rev. Moody Adams and Rev. Jason McNaughton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Richard's memory may be sent to Judson Baptist Retreat Center, 10330 Peterson Road, St. Francisville, Louisiana 70775 or to the charity of your choice .
