A retired Cintas employee, she passed away at 3:48 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City.
She was 70, a native of Port Allen and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting was at Promised Land Baptist Church on Friday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. James Grayson. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by her daughters, Janice Harris (Jerome) Edwards, Roxanne Allen, of Baton Rouge, Marice Hamilton (Dexter) Scott, of Atlanta, Ga.; goddaughter, Jennifer Dukes, of Baton Rouge; two very special nieces, Carnita Henderson and Eureka Smith, of Baton Rouge; sister, Laura Henderson, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, D'Anthony Decker, Kevonne Henderson, Kevin Henderson, Kevia Henderson, all of Baton Rouge, Torrance Harris, Brandyn Harris, Ke'Ondre Hamilton, all of Atlanta. Preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Crecy Henderson; son, Kevin Henderson; brothers, Jack, William, Isaiah and David Henderson; sisters, Elmena Brock, Rachael Henderson, Mary Wells, Della Myers and Betty Sims.
