Margaret Wells Melancon Seward

Margaret was a resident of Brusly, La and a native of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, born December 27, 1918.

She passed away on November 1, 2013, All Saints Day. She raised her seven boys on a small farm in Brusly and enjoyed the W.B.R Garden Club, Brusly Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and Home Demonstration group. There was visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 5 to 9pm, with a rosary at 7pm and at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am celebrated by Father Matt Lorrain. Entombment is in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Theodore "Ted" Melancon and wife Anita, John A. Melancon and wife Sheila, Michael G. Melancon, Henry J. Melancon, Sr. and wife Irene, and Thomas "Tommy" Melancon and wife Linda; sister, Rosemary Plamann and husband Lenny; brother, Kenneth "Kenny" Wells; and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by first husband, Theodule F. Melancon; second husband, Claude Seward; sons, Paul D. and Donald Melancon; parents, Ray and Helen Pfeil Wells; sisters, Marion Row, Isabelle Gorski, and Dorothy Shott; and brothers, George and James Wells.
