Born October 3, 1922 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a long time resident of Plaquemine, then lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah C. and Mickey Banta for 11 years in Port Allen.
Geneva peacefully entered heavens gates on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 5:35 a.m. at Plaquemine Caring at the age of 91, with the love of her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mickey by her side. Although her body has lost the battle, by God’s grace she has won the war. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26th at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine. Geneva is survived by her two daughters, Deborah C. Banta and husband Mickey and Carla Devillier and husband Thomas; four sisters, Darlene, Tommye, June and Shirley; one brother, Kenneth; 7 grandchildren, Melissa Watts, Dawn Guffey, Stephanie, Samantha, Anthony, Rebecca and Angela; great grandchildren, Braylen, Breana, Blaise, Brandt, Addyson, Aidan, Joshua, Jennifer, Jasmine, and Madison.Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Peter Costello; daughter, Theresa C.
