Joseph F. "Penu" Quatrevingt

A native of Grosse Tete and resident of Brusly, retired pipefitter and Veteran of World War II, he passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 6:20 a.m. at St. James Place in Baton Rouge at the age of 92.

""Penu"" was a pipefitter with Local 198 for 66 years and was an Army Radar Crewman in the Pacific, tech 5 in World War II. Visiting was at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly on Monday, December 23, 2013 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Matt Lorrain. Entombment followed in church mausoleum. ""Penu"" is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Adam Blanchard of Plaquemine; Terry Quatrevingt and Dwayne and Paige Stein Quatrevingt, all of Brusly; one brother and sister-in-law, Sidney ""Benny"" and Rose ""Baby"" Quatrevingt of Plaquemine; one sister and brother-in-law, Ray and Gordon ""Curly"" Tullier of Port Allen; five grandchildren, Kerry Paul Blanchard, Sherry B. Babin, Joseph Max Quatrevingt, Lacy Marie Quatrevingt, Johnnie Michelle Quatrevingt; and several great grandchildren. ""Penu"" was preceded in death by his wife, Tracie Tullier Quatrevingt; a son, Weylin ""Wally""James Quatrevingt; parents, Joseph and Eulalie Corral Quatrevingt; three sisters, Mabel Ramagos, Ruth Tullier and Ruby ""Jabie"" Trabeaux; 2 brothers, Earl and Charles Quatrevingt.
