A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was 85, a native of Jarreau, La and a longtime resident of Erwinville. She has resided in Plaquemine for the past 13 years where she went to be with her Heavenly Father at 7:30 pm on December 27th 2013. Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 5 to 9pm and at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lakeland, on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 9am until mass of Christian burial at 11am, celebrated by Father Rodney Bourg. Interment was in the church cemetery. She is survived by two daughters and a son in law; Wanda Daigle Webre, Mary Daigle Salvadras and husband Ray Salvadras; son, Jerry Daigle and wife Laura; six grandchildren, Ron and Shawn Webre, Renee Salvadras Mayeux, Amy Salvadras, Kyle and Teddi Daigle; two great grandchildren, Cody Webre and Karson Mayeux; sisters, Ruby Jarreau Major and Lorraine Johnson; and her constant companion, Bella. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Landry Daigle, Sr.; son, Landry "Pookie" Daigle, Jr. and wife Sybil Torres Daigle; son in law, Ronald Webre, Sr.; grandson, Byron Daigle; granddaughter in law, Vanessa Bodiford Webre; parents, Morrel and Mary West Jarreau, Sr.; brothers, Morrel Jarreau, Jr., and Lester Jarreau; and sister, Helen Jarreau Pourciau. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ron and Shawn Webre, and Kyle Daigle, brothers in law, Leo and Louis Daigle and grandson in law, Mitch Mayeux. Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Webre and Karson Mayeux. Special thanks to all of her nurses with Amedisys Hospice of Baton Rouge, Dr. Richard Lieux and staff, and Dr. Deumite and staff for their loving care.
