Ronald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son who passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet at the age of 58.

A Kiln Operator with Big River Industries, he was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Erwinville, La. Visiting was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lakeland on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm, celebrated by Father Todd Lloyd. Interment was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery, Lakeland. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Angela H. Nickens; mother, Shirley Nickens; daughter, Tanya Nickens Reed and husband Jeremy; son, Travis Nickens; step daughters, Heather and Lauren McCauley; grandchildren, Christian and Hailey Reed, Austin and Alyssa Nickens, and Levi Ladanyi; and his four legged companion Beaux. Preceded in death by his father, Thomas Nickens. He was an avid LSU fan.
