Mary Leona Gauthier Devall, a native of Erwinville, passed away at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at Pointe Coupee General Hospital in New Roads.
She was 94 and a homemaker. Visiting was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland on Friday Jan. 10 from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial in the church at 11 am. Conducted by Rev. Todd Lloyd. Interment in False River Memorial Park in New Roads. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Sadie Landry and husband Valery (Bae) of Morganza, Kay Hubbard and husband Perry of Port Allen; one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph F. (Jackie) Devall and wife Jean of Bossier City; three grandchildren, Ann Landry, Dale Landry and Debbie Daniel; six great grandchildren, Ethan and Alden Landry, Alex and Cameron Dauzat, Melissa and Trey Daniel; and one great great grandchild, Sabrina Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace (Dick) Devall, parents- Frank and Edine Gauthier, grandchildren- Brant Hubbard, Brett Devall, sisters- Gertrude McCoy, Mary Belle Webre, Hazel Pitre, Gladys and Mazie Gauthier, brothers- Roland, Clarence and Ralph Gauthier. Pallbearers were Cameron and Brian Dauzat, Trey Daniel, C.J. Webre, Ellis Gauthier, Jackson Adkins. Special thanks to a special friend- Pat Glaviano.
