Friday, the Brusly Panthers lost to the U-High Cubs 59-67 at home.
“We played hard, we played together, and we kept the game really close,” said Panthers head coach Harold Boudreaux.
“I can’t ask for more than that.”
Michael Bryant scored a team-high 17 points, followed by Travin Thibodeaux with 14, Shawn Freeman with 13, and Jason Holiday’s 11.
“I was really impressed with our freshman, Jason Holiday,” said Boudreaux. “He stepped in and did a really good job.”
On the defensive end, Thibodeaux rebounded 19 shots and posted three blocks.
This week, Brusly will play Parkview Baptist Tuesday and Port Allen Friday, both at home.
“I’m looking forward to those two games,” said Boudreaux. “Towards the end of the season, every game becomes very important. We just have to come out and play our best game.”
