November 21-January 3 The WBR Museum presents the exhibit A Charlie Brown Christmas turns 50, an exhibit to mark five decades of the beloved cartoon characters created by Charles Schulz featured in his enduring animated film.

December 12 The WBR Museum presents its annual Holiday Open House: Featuring a performance by Grammy Award winning Cajun fiddler  Michael Doucet, holiday music, refreshments, craft making, Charlie Brown cartooning fun and a visit from Papa Noel. From  1:00 p.m. til 4:00 p.m. Free.

City of Port Allen Council meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Port Allen City Hall.

Port Allen Neighborhood Watch meetings are held the last Monday of each month at 6 p.m. on the third floor of Port Allen City Hall, inside the council room. Meetings are open to all.

The exhibit will feature 49 painting, etchings and drawings by Joseph Holston, and is organized by the Arts Program of the University of Maryland University College.

The exhibit will feature 49 painting, etchings and drawings by Joseph Holston, and is organized by the Arts Program of the University of Maryland University College.

March 15 The Plaquemine High School Class of 1986 will host a benefit Musical for one of their classmates, Vincent Johnson, who is very ill. The musical will be held at the Greater St. Mary Baptist Church at 7 p.m.

March 16 A Relay for Life survivor prayer breakfast will take place at 8:30 a.m. in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church activity center.

April 13 Rougon High School will hold a reunion for the now defunct school in Pointe Coupee Parish for former students.

The event will take place at Scott Civic Center in Pointe Coupee Parish.

Reservations are required to attend, as there is limited space.

$30 a person, and no children under 21.
