Brusly High standoutsoftball player Carli Jo LeBlanc was in a car accident Monday night, July 28.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the West Side Journal’s final deadline before print, LeBlanc was in the Intensive Care Unit at a Baton Rouge hospital following injuries suffered in the crash.

LeBlanc was named a first teamer for Division 3, after her stellar 2014 season as the Lady Panthers’ outstanding pitcher. As a junior in 2013, LeBlanc led the Lady Panthers pitching squad with a 26-1 record and was named a pre-season all state first-teamer.

Friends and family are soliciting prayers for Carli Jo’s full recovery.
