Port Allen High School graduate Andre Hal was named to the second-team All-Southeastern Conference Roster.

The Vanderbilt junior defensive back, a first-year starter, shared the SEC lead with 13 passes defended. He finished the season with career highs of 35 solo tackles, 47 total tackles and one fumble recovery.

Hal was instrumental in the 41-18 Vanderbilt win over Tennessee in November, in which he intercepted two passes by the Volunteers and returned both inside the Tennessee 20-yard line for Commodore TDs.

His showing in the Tennessee win earned him the Defensive Player of the Week award.
