The fifth annual Westside Jamboree kicks off the 2013 high school volleyball Tuesday, Aug. 27 at Brusly High School.
Sixteen area teams will compete in action on three courts in the event, which begins at 3:45 p.m.
Teams slated to participate include Brusly, Port Allen, White Castle, False River Academy, Walker, Tara, Livonia, Southern Lab, Family Christian, West Feliciana, Runnels, Catholic High-Pointe Coupee, Plaquemine, St. John, Scotlandville, Donaldsonville and Brusly.
Pool A will consist of White Castle, Port Allen, False River Academy and Walker. White Castle will battle Port Allen and FRA will face Walker at 3:45. The 4:05 contests will pair White Castle against Walker and Port Allen vs. FRA. The first round concludes with games at 4:25 that pit Walker against Port Allen and FRA against White Castle.
Pool B competition will pair Livonia against Family Christian Academy and Tara vs. Southern Lab in the 5 p.m. set. Action at 5:20 features FCA vs. Tara and Southern Lab against Livonia. The final set at 5:40 will pair Tara against Livonia and FCA vs. Southern Lab.
Pool C will feature Runnels vs. Plaquemine and West Feliciana vs. Catholic-Pointe Coupee at 6:15, while Plaquemine tangles with West Feliciana and CHSPC locks up with Runnels at 6:35. The final set features West Feliciana at Runnels and Plaquemine against CHSPC at 6:55.
The Pool D matchups will include St. John vs. Donaldsonville and Scotlandville vs. Brusly at 7:30. Brusly and St. John collide at 7:30, the same time Donaldsonville meets Scotlandville. The final set of the evening pits St. John against Scotlandville and Brusly vs. Donaldsonville.
