The Brusly Panthers challenged Baker and Glen Oaks last week in volleyball and came out on top in both games.
Monday, October 9 the Lady Panthers played the Baker High Buffalos at home, winning all three matches in a clean sweep. The first match ended 25-12, the second 25-6, and the final one 25-9.
Claire Daigle served the most aces and the most points of the game with six aces and 15 total serves. Kylie Tolar served 14 points, four of which were aces, and Shelby Willis served 10 points including three aces. Johnee LeBlanc had seven kills during the three matches. Shelby Willis and Chloe Richard each had four kills.
Wednesday, October 11, Brusly traveled to Glen Oaks to face the Panthers. Again, Brusly dominated in three matches. The Panthers won 25-12, 25-2, and 25-14.
Keeley Martin served 15 of the team’s points, six of those being aces. Victoria Genusa served 16 points, including four aces. Tolar served 10 points with three aces, and Daigle served 14 points with two aces. LeBlanc earned the most kills with nine. Richard, Willis, and Brianna Granville each had three kills.
The Panthers battle Livonia Monday at home, West Feliciana at home Wednesday and away at St. John Thursday.
