Last week, Port Allen’s Lady Pels won two of their three games.

The Pels traveled to Istrouma Monday night and conquered the Indians, winning in three matches: 25-18, 25-2, and 25-16.

Port Allen hosted Northeast Wednesday, October 23, for Senior Night. Seniors Brittany Glosup, a four-year member, Ariel Kelly, a one-year member, and Eva Drury, a two-year manager, were honored before the game.

“We had a lot of downfalls this year,” said Glosup. “There were lots of frustrations on the court, but we always kept our heads up as a team.”

The seniors said they have grown closer to one another throughout their time at Port Allen High.

“We’re like family,” said Kelly, as Glosup added, “Just like sisters.”

“I want to thank the girls for playing their senior year,” said Coach Wayne Conaway. “I hope their future endeavors go well for them.”

The Pelicans beat the Vikings in three consecutive matches: 25 -20, 25-18, and 25-23.

Thursday, Port Allen played Hosanna at home. While the Lady Pels won the first match 25-17, they fell in the next three matches: 16-25, 20-25, and 6-25.

This week, the Lady Pels are taking the week off.
