Throughout the offseason, Brusly’s football team has been scripting a new chapter, turning the page from the past. With a new coach, quarterback and added energy, this year’s squad hopes to improve mightily from 2014’s 3-7 regular season record and first-round bounce from the class 3A playoffs.
Brusly travels to Thibodaux to tangle with 5A foe Central Lafourche High School on Friday, Aug. 28, one week before BHS begins its regular season under Marc Brown, who returned to Brusly after a one-year absence - but this time as a head coach, following the departure of Erik Willis to Plaquemine High School.
A big win isn’t necessarily a gauge for the future success of a football team.
Last Thursday, Aug. 20, the Brusly Panthers football team met the McKinley Senior High School Panthers for their first scrimmage of the 2015 football season.
