BAINS – The boys competition did not deliver a huge surprise last Wednesday at the District 7-3A track championships, but it was a different story with girls competition.

West Feliciana High School held back Port Allen in a tight race for the boys district title, but Parkview Baptist emerged the surprise for the top spot in the girls division.

Mancuso named DIII MVP

Brusly High School wrestler Koby Mancuso can add one more accomplishment to his triumphant senior season.

Mancuso was named to the Outstanding Division III Wrestler on the first-team All-Metro team selected by wrestling coaches in the Greater Baton Rouge area.

Despite losses, Brusly baseball heads to playoffs

After losing a bit of their pride along with a 1-0 loss at home against Parkview Baptist (19-12, 8-2) last Tuesday that could have given the Brusly Panthers (22-8, 7-3) the 7-3A district championship, the Panthers travelled to Parkview on Thursday trying to avenge the loss and win back some of their pride as well.
