Panthers aim for 12th state wrestling title

Written by John DuPont on .

The Brusly High School wrestling team hopes the number 13 won’t live up to its dismal reputation Saturday.

The Panthers will seek their 12th state championship in the last 13 years when they head to Kenner this weekend for the Louisiana High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament at the Pontchartrain Center.

Brusly heads into the meet after one of its tougher seasons in recent years. A combination of youth, a lack of depth, and injuries have made the quest for another state title far more challenging this year.
