Panthers lead the district, 5-1

Going into last weeks’ series, everyone knew between Brusly High (5-1) and University Laboratory School (4-2) that the games were two of the more important games of the year.  After Brusly fell in the first game at U-High on Tuesday 5-2, it turned out to be a fight to the finish as the Panthers pulled of the win at home in extra innings 5-4.

Brusly seniors Maddie Laprarie and Akiya Thymes shined in their last regular season home game against the West Feliciana Lady Saints, where they were honored after the game on Senior Night on April 7.


P.A. bats heat up

Maybe it was something in the water. Or maybe it was frustration

Either way, Port Allen’s strength at the plate took the spotlight in a 24-11 non-district win Saturday at White Castle.

The Pelicans improved to 8-10 for the season. The win came on the heels of two disappointing showings that led to losses to Baker in both District 7-3A matchups.
